Dear Beautiful Souls,
It’s official! After much deliberation, countless cups of CBD tea, and some deep soul-searching, Nexus Essentia is making its grand return on Sunday, April 13th, 2025! 🎉
So what was the deliberation? Let me share a little behind-the-scenes insight into why this event is so special and why we’re sticking to our roots instead of rushing into a hotel ballroom.

Why No Hotels? Let Me Break It Down for You...
Dietary Drama: Sister Michelle’s lovingly prepared meals are the stuff of legends—nutritious, delicious, and made with soul. Swapping that for a hotel’s soggy sandwich platter, coffee in suspicously small cups and questionable coleslaw? That’s a culinary downgrade we just can’t stomach. Our retreat meals are designed to nourish your body and spirit. A hotel buffet, on the other hand, might leave you wondering if the “mystery casserole” is part of the mindfulness challenge.
Space & Privacy: Hotels are bustling hubs of activity, which is great for tourists, but not so much for a retreat. Sharing your soul in a space where anyone can walk by feels less like a sanctuary and more like a reality TV show. Privacy is key when you’re diving deep into your inner self. In a hotel, you might have to share your journey with the curious eyes of passersby—or worse, the guy who accidentally wandered in looking for the breakfast buffet or looking for the roght conference room.
The SweatBox Effect: Let’s face it, hotel air conditioning is either Arctic tundra or Sahara desert. Add a room full of people doing Qi Gong and Kemetic yoga, and suddenly you’ve got a human sauna. Not exactly the vibe we’re going for.
Sound Healing Acoustics: Hotel ballrooms are great for wedding speeches and awkward dance floors, but for sound healing? The acoustics are so flat, even the bowls would sound like they’ve lost their zen. Picture this: You struggle to hear the soothing hum of Tibetan bowls reverberating through the room, only to be joined by the clinking of cutlery from the buffet next door. Inner calm? More like inner chaos.
CBD Tea & The Police: The last thing we need is the hotel staff mistaking our mindfulness for mischief and calling in reinforcements. Imagine the scene: we’re all blissfully sipping our CBD tea, feeling the zen, and suddenly the hotel staff starts whispering, “What’s that smell?” Next thing you know, the alarm’s going off, and we’re all outside explaining that it’s just tea, not a reggae festival.
Why Nexus Essentia is Worth the Wait
We’ve poured our hearts into creating a space that feels authentic, sacred, and free from judgment. This isn’t just an event; it’s an experience. From the powerful breathwork session to the transformative NLP workshop, every moment is designed to help you reconnect with your true essence.
And let’s not forget the food! Sister Michelle’s culinary magic is the kind of nourishment that feeds not just your body, but your soul. Swapping that for a generic hotel buffet would be like trading a diamond for a pebble.
The Future of Nexus Essentia
We know you’re eager for more, and trust us, so are we! Expanding Nexus Essentia into a two-day transformative experience is on the horizon. But like all great things, it takes time to find the perfect space that honours the authenticity and magic of what we’ve built so far. We’re all about growth, but not at the expense of what makes Nexus Essentia so unique. Expanding to a two-day event is in the cards, but until we find the perfect venue that aligns with our values, we’re staying true to the one-day magic you know and love.
Save the Date!
So, mark your calendars for Sunday, April 13th, 2025, and get ready for a day of transformation, connection, and a whole lot of laughs.
